Meet the people of Manchester - Part 1

This Monday I decided to take a trip to Manchester and capture some of the beautiful and interesting faces and stories that live there.

This was the first person I stopped and asked for a photo, I chose him because he was photographing a building so I thought as a fellow photographer he would get my request for a photo. I was right.
"Photography was my hobby, and now its my job, I love to do weddings but sometimes I just come out and take photos, like I used to." This was his thinking face.

When I stopped this girl and asked her for a photo she looked confused, but when I told her it was because she looked gorgeous her whole aura changed. Her face brightened and I was so happy so see that. I caught the beaming smile on camera but I didn't think it had as much effect as this shot. For some reason the slightly confused look is quite piercing. When I asked her for a line about herself she immediately came out with "I love music!" Short and sweet. Brilliant.

When I asked this man for a photo he said " Only if you can get my t - shirt in!" then I asked him for a line and he replied with "Arr now I feel under pressure..." I expected a bigger response considering his apparently exciting persona...

One of my favourite people that I came across was this man, a beggar sat next to Costa Coffee with a big smile on his face. He gladly allowed me to take his photo and then when I asked for a line he replied with a whole lot. Firstly he started singing, we thought he wanted us to leave but then he drew me into a conversation about my college work, going on to talk about his history degree. Then concluding with "Have a nice day!" Lovely man.

Talking about lovely people, this man certainly qualified as one. When I asked for his photo he asked why and I replied for a college project. He happily allowed me to take his photo and then asked me where he could find it, I told him my blog name (so hi if your reading this!). I asked him for a line and he replied with "I hate talking about myself, haha". He then told me that if I wanted to find out more about him I should look at his Instagram, whilst handing me his business card. I wasn't surprised when I saw his amazing Instagram, as his clothes and appearance completely and utterly reflected his personality, but I was amazed at his beautiful and giant street murals and the fact he was a freaking mountain climber! Amazing. Check him out @tankpetrol.

This lady was absolutely brilliant, she was so happy and flattered when I called her over to take her photo and couldn't believe me when I told her It was because she looked so amazing! When I asked her for a bit about herself she replied with "Its my Silver wedding anniversary this month" and was on her way.

This man was very excited to have his photo taken, that is until he thought I was a reporter when I started asking him questions, when I told his it was only for college however he laughed and answered my original question with "I want ma' dinner." Hilarious.

I really wanted to stop a businessman because I always think they look like they have something to hide, or somewhere to be. This man looked in a rush but I stopped him anyway and his persona just changed, he went from boring businessman to Life loving fun guy in just under 5 seconds. What he said was... "My names Ryan, I moved here from London to be a banker 15 years ago, I'm lovin' every minute of it." In a VERY jolly manner.

This lady wanted me to take her photo but then didn't understand the question, there was a language barrier. She was happy though which was nice.

Now I have never met an elderly woman so full of life as this lady. She was absolutely brilliant. She spoke about how she loved young people, and how she was so proud of her children. She then went on to speak about her past careers, How she worked in fashion and care and how she travelled. She then said she "doesn't believe anyone has to be boring, certainly not me even at age 85." She was a beautiful woman inside and out.

I was drawn to this man because he looked to me like a well travelled, intelligent guy. An Italian who moved recently to study in the music industry. He was happy to have his photo taken and I was happy to take it as his look is super foreign hipster which I love. He then asked where he could find it. I directed him here, so hello if your reading!

Thanks for reading everyone! There will be a part 2 on the way soon and hopefully many more parts to come!

Byeee for nowww xoxo

Rust in the Summer

Hey guys! So, its looking to me like summer is ending and the summer post that I've been waiting to write might me a lil overdue. However, when on holiday with a blogger bestie you have to take advantage of the photography skills and hot weather and do a post anyway, and who knows, in the UK summer seems to  last to November weather wise anyway so this might just be worth it!

When we went to Cyprus we got up to a lot, from Jumping off 40ft cliffs to riding a fly fish to partying in Ayia Napa we rarely had time to stop and relax, but when we did, we would usually go out for a meal and enjoy the warm evening air. This, is my favourite and definitely most worn outfit for the evenings with my hair down and straight. In my opinion the combo of the skirt and the pretty, pretty ass heels is a winner, and the bodysuit is quite figure flattering so all in all it just worked! Where I got it all is below, however that's kind of irrelevant because its most likely all out of stock by now. I mean at least it's inspiration for you all! :)

Hat - ASOS
Bodysuit - American Apparel
Skirt - H&M
Shoes - ASOS

Thanks for reading yall, I will be posting many many autumn posts from now on as it is undoubtedly the best time of year (and Christmas), so my blog will be super active for the coming months!

I'm like seriously seriously excited for the cold weather,
Like i'm already knitting myself a scarf,
And thinking of Christmas plans,
Its unhealthy.

Buuut anyways thanks for stopping by and bye for now! xoxo

Holiday Haul and Chat!

Hi Guys! So today I thought I would do a bit of a chatty post as I haven't done one of those in a while... So I'm going on holiday in August to Cyprus with Beth, a very close friend of mine who coincidentally also has a blog! So the other day we decided to go shopping for holiday clothes and make a day of it. We went to Manchester and did all the major shops and then went tho the famous turtle bay, which, honestly, looked much prettier than it tasted (boo). But then we made up for it with an IMAX cinema trip to see Legend of Tarzan. And I mean that was pretty cool but I wouldn't go as far to say it was Legendary... (boo again) haha :)

So on this trip I bought a heck of a lot of holiday stuff consisting of a Zara, stripy, midi, bodycon, which I love because it was so damn cheap and looks so damn nice. A lazy oaf Badge shirt (which I actually bought online and collected because there is no lazy oaf in Manchester :( Which is suuuper cool.  Some Liquor and Poker Rainbow shorts which are eternally amazing because there freaking sparkly sequined rainbows on my butt! Like what else could you want? And an urban outfitters slip dress. And I'm actually in love with that one :)

I got a lot more for this holiday but I though I would show you over a series of posts and then when in Cyprus rope Beth in to take outfit posts so I can fiiiiinallllyyyyy do some fashion posts! You will be seeing a lot of me this summer :)

Thanks for reading guys! And let me know where your going this summer!

Spicy Vegan Tomato Pasta!

So as some of you may know, I'm now vegan! Well, majority vegan anyways, maybe plant based, and in the three months that I've been doing this shiz I've become pretty clued up on the best vegan (or mostly vegan) recipes. And this is for sure my most used go to comfort food at the moment, sooooo I'm going to give it to you all as a gift. How nice right?! Hahaha :)

Ingredients;

Three Onions
Three Garlic Cloves
A Handful of small Mushrooms
A Pinch of Salt
A Twist of Pepper
A few Herbs
A tin of Chopped Tomatoes
A squirt of Ketchup
A Sprinkle of Brown Sugar
A Squeeze of Tomato Puree
Some Chilli Flakes
Lets do this;

So first of all, chop the onions. I like to chop them into tiny pieces so they cook quicker and more evenly. Then get some olive oil hotting up and throw the onions in. And give them a fry until they look kind of sweaty. While those are frying, chop the garlic and mushrooms very finely and throw those into the mix. As these are all frying I usually prep all of the other ingredients, until the fried onions and garlic are all nice and cooked through. Then throw all of the wet ingredients in and add the dry ingredients to taste. I like mine sweet so I tend to add a lot of brown sugar. I then leave it to simmer for 15 mins while the pasta is cooking and then blend it a little. And Voila! Your done! Its super easy and quick and it works brilliantly frozen for an even quicker meal! I find that its lovey with some salt, pepper and seeds to season. Enjoy!

Photography - Simplicity

Here is one of my most recent shoots. I decided to take my friend jess down to the studio and use it in a slightly unconventional way. I'm really happy with the turnout of these photos and because of this I've decided  to present them to you unedited because i love the rawness of it. I will be editing them in the end but I will put those selected few on my photography website.

Thanks for taking the time to look through my shoot today :)
I hope I see you again soon! xoxo
